21 Built In Fitness Programs

This cross trainer offers an impressive twenty one fitness programs that include hill climbing, interval training, body fat burning and target heart rate. For most of us that are looking to keep fit or embark on a fitness regime we are not knowledgeable enough to create our own fitness programs so having this many programs to choose from helps you hit your goals whilst also giving you a choice of what programs you enjoy the most. Once you get bored of one you can switch to another and keep mixing it up.

16 Levels of Resistance

With sixteen levels of resistance this trainer has a level to suit all people. The easiest levels are great for getting started and getting used to a cross trainer and the highest levels are there to give athletes a hard work out. As your fitness progresses you can step through the levels by easily adjusting the settings. The magnetic resistance gives a smooth and quiet motion which is ideal for the home. For a lot of us our exercise routines goes in patches so if you haven’t been on the trainer for a while you can adjust the level back down for a while and build yourself back up.

Colour Touch Screen

For ease of use and intuitive controls the JTX Strider X7 has a full colour touch screen so that you can choose the programs easily and also get all of your workout feedback in real time. You can monitor the distance, speed and calories that you have burned and also monitor your heart rate with a Polar heart rate monitor chest strap. All of this feedback is important to see just how hard you are working and if you are achieving your goals. This is a great feature for the beginner that just wants to jump onto the trainer and get going.

16 inch Stride Length

The stride length is 16 inches which is good for a home cross trainer and gives you a good smooth action when training. This is helped by a 12.5 kg fly wheel which contributes to the smoothness. When using a home cross trainer you want it to feel as much like a gym machine as possible and a good size flywheel and stride length help out with this.

Personalised Programs

Up to four users can build and save their own workouts that are programmed to suit them. This is really useful for a home trainer where it could be a few family members that use the cross trainer for different types of training. There is nothing worse then losing your training info that you have built for yourself.

The features that come with the Strider X7 Cross Trainer are impressive and give you a lot flexibility with many built in programs and resistance setting to help you get started. The built quality is robust and should suit most home users and also support use by multiple users whilst retaining training info.

130kg Maximum User Weight

Equating to around 20 stones this trainer is good for the larger people that are looking to shed a few pounds. Some of the cheaper models will not have the ability to take the pressure from the heavier users, however, the strider can cope with up to 130 kg pretty easily and will help you drop a few pounds.

Size

The Strider is well designed and will git nicely into a small space in the home or garage. With all home machines space is a real consideration and this has been well thought about with the following dimensions 170 cm in height, 70 cm in width and 130 cm length. Most of us will be able to find a space for this in a corner somewhere!

Warranty

The warranty is a two year home warranty which will give you peace of mind when buying a cross trainer that you want to last for a long time. It is a step up from the one year warranty available on the base model cross trainer from JTX and well worth having on the slightly more expensive model.

Value For Money

This is quite simply fantastic value for money. The large number of fitness programs and resistance setting mean this will last you a long time no matter what level of fitness you are at and that is backed up by the warranty. It is well worth considering this if you are a beginner and want a cross trainer that will last as well as more experienced users that want something to supplement there training.

The Round Up

To round this up we can say that this is a great value trainer that offers functionality to suit the beginner right through to the fitness enthusiast. It will fit nicely into a small space at home and is excellent value for money. For a home use cross trainer this has it all and should give most people everything you need. The long stride length and heavy flywheel give a really smooth action for enjoyable training. If there was one downside to find it would be that you could step up to a gym quality machine but for that you need extra space and a lot of extra budget. The athletes among us may want to take a look at the Zenith model but this is a great place to start for most of us.

The cross trainer gets many fantastic reviews from many happy customers which is a great endorsement in itself.

We hope that you have found the JTX Strider X7 Magnetic Cross Trainer review helpful, we aim to make your purchasing decision easier. Good Luck!
